Child Trafficking Conference Expected to Draw Leading Experts

WHO: The Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, the University of Maryland School of Social Work, the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force, and the Maryland Department of Human Services
WHAT: The Maryland Child Trafficking Conference: Breaking Down Barriers, Creating Change will bring together national and state experts on trafficking. The conference follows an August 10 announcement by Governor Larry Hogan on a series of initiatives to combat the broader issue of human trafficking. The conference is expected to draw 300 participants along with leading experts in the field who will discuss the problem and ways to mobilize communities and grassroots efforts to combat child human trafficking.
