Governor Larry Hogan to Proclaim 2021 Maryland Crime Victims’ Rights Week,
Present Victim Assistance Awards, Open Conference and 31st Memorial Services for Crime Victims and Their Families
Four Regional Services Will Honor Over 5,000 Maryland Crime Victims 

Annapolis, MD – Governor Larry Hogan will proclaim the 2021 Maryland Crime Victims’ Rights Week by virtually opening this year’s conference and the 31st Memorial Services for Crime Victims and Their Families. These events are held annually during Crime Victims’ Rights Week, this year running from April 18 – April 24, 2021.

The Maryland State Board of Victim Services, in partnership with the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, Charles County State’s Attorney’s Office, Dorchester County State’s Attorney’s Office, and Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, will sponsor the 31st Memorial Services for Crime Victims and Their Families on April 18, 2021. Four virtual regional memorial services will honor over 5,000 Maryland crime victims of homicide, vehicular manslaughter, and missing crime victims and their families. Click here to attend and learn more about the memorial services.

The 2021 Maryland Crime Victims’ Rights Conference, running April 19-22, 2021, offers innovative best practices and tools for victim service professionals to serve victims of crime in Maryland. Three Governor’s Victim Assistance Awards will be presented during the virtual conference. There is no registration fee for this event.
